A special person was born today, their name? Big brother
On February 18, 1956 a little boy was born to the parents of Joseph & Joyce Rose in Chowchilla Calif, they named him Joseph Anthony Rose Jr. 8 1/2 years later this same little boy got a new title it was " Annette's Big brother" I use to call him Joe Joe when I was little, then Joey as I got older, all of you know if his sudden passing in October of 2009, he left all of us at the young age of 53 to go and live in his mansion in heavne that hes been building, here is some things I'd like to share with all of you today on his birthday........
I can remember once waiting on the bus to go to head start, I rode the same bus as him and the neighbor kids, he knew I was cold so he had all his friends stand in a circle around me to block the wind that blew that morning.
I remember playing in the grape vineyards with you Joey when the farmer irrigated his grapes we'd run up and down the muddy isles, I remember you giving me rides on your bike that had that long banana seat, while the dalmatians dogs that belonged to the neighbor chased us I'd scream "Go faster Joe Joe"
I remember eating vegetable beef soup with alphabets and taking the A B C'S out of the soup, laying them on Mommas ceder chest and you'd help me spell things, and remember how mad Mom would get?? I remember you had a pet mouse and you built her a home with a cardboard box and cut out windows and put plastic wrap over the cut outs for "windows" only not to find her the next morning, Mom did and she had babies, remember that?? I can also remember locking you out and laughing and pointing at you through the sliding glass door, then letting you in and I'd go out and you'd lock me out and I'd sit on the steps until Mom came home and told Mom that you locked me out all day! Playing " Mary Had A Little Lamb" on my violin and you telling how beautiful it sounded, Remember Momma sticking "Louisiana Hot Sauce" on my thumb to try and get me to stop sucking my thumb, and you'd feel sorry for me and wash it off, changing my bed and night cloths when I'd wet myself, and remember the time when Mom was in hospital for a heart procedure and you and I where sitting next to each other and the nurse asked Mom "Do you have hemroids?" I looked at you and we started laughing so hard and I said "Yea, she does, we're right here" as I pointed back and forth to you and I! I am so glad that God has allowed these memories to come back to me Joey, there isn't a day that I still don't cry or wish you where here and my heart still aches but I know one day my heart will no longer beat with sadness it will be with pure joy when you, me and Gilbert are all reunited in the kingdom of heaven!! So eat your cake and enjoy the angels singing "Happy Birthday" and most of all enjoy hearing our Heavenly father tell you "Happy birthday my child" I love you and miss you more than anyone knows. XoXoXoXoXo Sis

what a sweet and loving tribute to your brother...I love your memories - they warmed my heart to read them! My brother Bill's birthday was the 17th - I didn't know our brothers were so close together. Happy belated birthday to John too. I cannot believe he is 18!!! Where does the time go?! Well we all know it's tucked safely away in our hearts for taking out and remembering special times like those you shared here.
Love to you sweet friend ~
Sorry I haven't been blogging so much. I've been sooo busy student teaching, going to school, and working - some days I don't know which end is up!
