Good food, great family, & mistletoe

So, did all of you have a great CHRISTmas? and get at least one thing you wanted? Our CHRISTmas was small, sweet and somewhat sad all in one, my brothers children where here, my nephew came with his long time girlfriend shes such a jewel, or at least Mom & I think so, now his sister and Mom just might say different, our children where here, and Amanda with her boyfriend Justin, I didn't write much about him, wasn't too sure about him and after the last one, I have my guards up, but hes turning out to be a pretty nice guy, AGAIN, I'm eating my words, in other words I confess girls, I'm starting to like him, just a little....and Mom & Bill where here, we didn't have a big lunch, I fixed ham, and Salad, Mom brought those little red potatoes baked with olive oil, garlic, onion,fresh parsley, and O my gosh the best HOMEMADE carrot cake( with out walnuts, cause I don't like them ) she put almonds instead and my niece and my nephew girlfriend brought dessert!! I got some great gifts, no camera, darn it!! but one of Amanda's bosses and friend of ours got me a Kenmore programmable crock pot, I needed one so bad, and I LOVE my crock pot, so with the bone that was in the ham, I'm going to make, you know it girls, beans!!!!!!!!
We missed Joey, tears where shed by all, with laughter as to what Joey "would have said" when my nephew and his girlfriend left, her and I where standing under this tree,while my sweet nephew complained about the bird's leaving their calling cards on his new car, I looked up into the tree and her I where standing under mistletoe, I quickly gave her several smooches her on the cheek and said "Where standing under mistletoe" we all laughed and I said "Joey, you know your Dad would have laughed over this" I know my brother saw this and was giggling, his presence was greatly missed by all, Momma said the blessing over the meal, this use to be my brothers duty, and I couldn't get his son to say it, so mom did and girlfriend, I thought for a moment there she was going to do a little jig, she got all into it, I've never seen the power of God over her before, but he was with her yesterday!!!!!!
God gave us beautiful weather here in California, blue sky's, warmth of the sun, birds out singing a songs for us, it was just a beautiful day to have family around.
