Someone brought these delicious little things with a bit of twang in them to work yesterday, do you know what they are? they are kumquats! I haven't had any of these in so long, and they where such a nice way to end my lunch with, some people didn't know what they where, or they where trying to peel them, silly folks! This co~worker has a tree of them on her patio, lucky gal..I like mine real cold. This weather...is crazy! over the week end it was suppose to get 105 here where I live, but instead it got 107, and pretty dang hot on Sunday, and last night up towards the Yosemite way, they where having a beautiful lighting storm, I stood out side and watch it and could hear the thunder, it was stunning to see, and today where I live it's windy but so much cooler. I noticed some wild berry bushes are blooming along some of the road ways, there's a house that has a long drive way and I told Larry, "I think I'm going to drive down that drive way one day and go and ask the owner if I can pick some of their berries, hope they don't have a huge dog!" I'm wanting a berry cobbler so bad, I have noticed some of the local fruit stands are getting ready to open up, I like buying my fruit from locals when possible, they are grown organic this way, so I suppose the heat is good for something other than making sun tea! I am extremely tired this evening, so I'll go and catch up on some post and watch American Idol with Amanda, if she stays home and doesn't go flinting around with Chris.
Remember my friend Dee? she's got bone "C" and her chemo pills aren't working like they have in the past, and the Dr's. where talking about putting a pick line so she can have I.V. chemo? well my sweet friend is off of work for awhile now, I need to call her but I am so scared too, scared of what she might tell me, she's the most spiritual person, when she talks about God and going home to be with him, she gets a twinkle in her eyes, please pray for her, pray for no suffering, no pain, and for guidance on the pick line, I hate cancer! but my friend knows one day she'll be cancer free and can enjoy her garden once again, I can picture her now kneeling down and not worrying about breaking any bones and being able to stand up and raise her arms to love the Lord and not worrying about hurting her shoulder! I can see her now!!!

I can see her too. He freedom from this limited whelm. I am glad for the twinkle in her eye.
That you can see it.
Berries sound refreshing. It will be a good day then to pick berries along side the road with you. We gotta remember to watch out for those thorns. Can we sing hymns while we do?

I want to stand in the great garden open...and sing some psalms and hymns in the wide open.

Yes! It's almost berry-picking time...I'll show you my favorite place, shhhh! (Top secret)and like you, I am so happy to see the fruit stands opening...I bought fresh asparagus the other day at Rodin's and spent less than a buck! Stay in out of this heat...a few more crazy days and I'll be over for some of that mint suntea of yours! *wink

love to you sunshine ~

I love fresh berry pie! There is nothing like it!!!!!! Go fight that big dog and pick those berries!

And as for your sweet friend Dee.... what a precious testimony that she has a twinkle in her eye when she speaks of her Father God.. We all should have that twinkle.... I do hate cancer, I do hate it and the terror that it brings into a life..... God hates cancer and HE is not afraid of it! We must pray.... ... but one day is coming soon and that demon will be cast into the lake of fire right along side that devil that is responsible! I look forward to that day......... We will see that........
