My baby is home from the hospital.....and all this started from poison oak, he scratched so bad until it got infected and staph sat in! they had a specialist, that specializes in infections, to me he's the best and said its all from poison oak, I know this Doctor and if he was to tell me "Annette, you've got one day left to live", I start digging my own grave, that's how good he is! At our second round to the ER for a recheck and more vanco(that's a very strong antibiotic) they where going to send him home AGAIN and I told this sweet little petite ER doctor" Don't you think you should look at this whole picture, Friday came in cause of swelling, Vanco given, with a reaction, he got what we call in the hospital "Red man syndrome" and a tighten of the throat, alittle over 12 hours later, more vanco at a slower rate with benadryl given 30 minutes before hand and you want to send him home? and back tomorrow for another recheck and I can promise you, more vanco will be hung, don't you think it makes sense to admit him and let him get this stuff every 12 hours on the clock with labs drawn" her response..."Even though there is so much germs floating around the hospital you still want him admitted?" I looked at her and said "Number 1, don't ever question me on my children's well being, and number 2 your going to send him out in the community where there is way more sh*t floating around, and at least here he's in a semi sterile environment, and I know for a fact there is nothing contagious on that floor, I just worked that floor Friday, and didn't see any sign on the door's anywhere, so yea, admit him" she called his primary, who should have been called the second he came in ER the second time, and his Dr. said "Go ahead admit him,Mom, means business" In less than 24 hours all redness and swelling went down, and that's from prayers I know it....Johnanthon didn't want me to stay the second night, but he was little nervous about the vanco being hung, he called me and said "Mom, I had to tell the nurse to give me the bendryl before the vanco was hung" I'll be right there.....I told the nurse"Do you not read the mars, he allergic to this stuff, and its extremely sad when a 17 year old kid has to tell you, Thank goodness he knew to ask" I told him he'd be fine that there where lots & lots of prayers going out, and God hears them and he'll be fine, he said "Go ahead and go home I'll call you if I need you", so now my baby is home.....Thank you all of you for your prayers and concerns, We all slept good last night.....

Glad to hear your baby is home! I hope his healing continues on a fast pace. Thanks for stopping by. You didn't say too much by the way. I'm glad you feel comfortable enough to say something. If you want to stop back, I added something to my give away. Lots of hugs for a special lady!
Oh girl..... I am so glad he is home..... Sounds like you got their attention and got the help that he needed..... I am like Donetta.. I want you around when I am sick and need someone to listen........
Love ya girl..... I have not been here much this week but it has been kinda hectic!
Anyway....... glad he is home and well...... staph seems to be on the rise....... got to be careful.
so your your son is back. he looks so happy in the photo.
So happy to hear he is home. You know sometimes a person wonders about how stable our medical staff are. Some of them just want the career and others really care. You have to be on your toes and thank God you were.
Hugs and Welcome Home Jonathan
