Well just a few more days and it will be Valentines Day!! Here's a recipe that sounds sinfully good and it's low in carbs, has zero fat, and the best part only contains 25 calories each! So... you can eat 10 of these suckers and still not equal the calories in one piece of chocolate cake!! So, you and your honey can feed each other these on valentines......
"Chocolate Bliss Bites"
1/2 C. unsweetened coco powder.
Pinch of salt.
1/2 C. sugar, divided
3 Lg. egg whites.
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar.
1 tsp. Vanilla extract. (I use pure Vanilla)
1 Tbsp. Confectioners sugar.
~Directions~
1 preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line baking sheets with foil.
2 In small bowl, sift together cocoa, salt, and 1/4 cup of the sugar.
3 In large bowl, with electric mixer at medium-low speed, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Beat in remaining 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 tablespoon at a time, until meringue is glossy and stiff peaks form. Fold in cocoa mixture and vanilla extract.
4 Drop by rounded teaspoons about 1" apart onto prepared baking sheets. Bake 25 minutes for soft chewy cookies or 40 minutes for crisp ones. Dust cooled cookies with confectioners sugar.....I take a plastic bag cut a small piece of the tip off and melt chocolate and add lines.
makes: 24 cookies
per cookie: 25 cal. 1 gr pro, 6 g card, 0 g fat, 0 mg chol, 0.5 g fiber, 13 mg. sodium.
*** Now, go bake and feed to your better half and enjoy your night.
