"German Bapist, Amish & Peace"
I am so glad my 5 days are over and I now have 3 days off in a row and let me tell you, you can defiantly tell by my home that I have worked the last 5, they meaning Larry and the kids have tried to keep things some what done, but it just amazes me how people in this home don't know how to run a vacuum cleaner, so I guess I will do an in service on vacuum running 101, this week at work has been an awesome week...I took care of the neatest man he was German Baptist man and we got to talking about the Amish people and the shooting got brought up and how the Amish people invited the lady and her family to come and eat with them, the lady's husband is the one who did the shooting....I told him I was just in "aw" over that gesture and he said " They litterly turned the other cheek, and had fellowship in their hearts" and I was like I don't think I could have ever done something like that, he said "Annette, I know you could and would have, you have Christ in your heart and I know you listen to him" I thought "Why cant all of us be like the Amish faith in that aspect wouldn't the world be a much better place and I thought of our conversation allot, so why cant I forgive the little girl who killed my brother with a double barrel shot gun when he was 12 and the only way we could identify him was from a birth a mark, I sit here and type this and get a ache in my throat just remembering all this from the event, maybe Lord is talking to me right this very second and I'm I being obedient to his voice, no instead all I can do is remember the pain we all felt the day my little brother was killed, now I know that God wouldn't want me to be this way, I have learned so much this week end at work from this German Baptist man, he was knowledgeable in the word of God, the peace I felt when I went into his room I know it was the peace of the Holy spirit, that same peace I need to have for the little girl who took my brother's life. I don't want to disappoint my heavenly father EVER, so I will ask for peace, and may all of you have peace in your heart today!

he sounds like a wonderful man, annette....what sweet conversations you had, and so true.....sometimes forgiveness is so hard to show others...and we usually have good reason.....however, we know we have to forgive to be forgiven.....something i pray for daily also....but something easier said that done many times....that is why we need God's help....to create a soft and kind heart....and hopefully we can find that peace you are talking about today!

I love that you allow things to settle into your heart and then you think about them...this is how we keep our minds open to change...and some things seem near impossible to forgive, but we are called to have forgiveness in our hearts for even our enemies. Releasing this burden of pain and caring enough to call it forgiveness is a very loving gesture and I just know you are full of love...but don't let that sweet little package stay bundled in your own heart, let her know so that she might pass it along to others...it's probably been a burden on her heart as well. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing and I'm happy this sweet man in the hospital crossed your path...or maybe you crossed his...but it was undoubtedly a blessed occurance.
