Better day

Good Sunday, although this new time we now have has thrown us all for a loop, I forgot to turn my clock's back and John was running late for work, but I did sleep in a little bit, my lovely cat woke me on her time and was wanting out, I looked over at the clock and said 5, and I thought o bull huckey, I am not getting up to let you out, so at 5 this morning I am raising my voice to her to go back nite-nite! Well to her it was time to get up, poor miss treated thing. Amanda went on real date Friday night, the boy opens and closes her door, walks her up to the house, and has her home on time, Friday night I went peeking through Johns window to see if he really did open and closes the door forher like she said he did, I just didn't think they were young men like that any more, and what scored huge brownie points in my book is he asked me, yes me, not Larry what time I'd like for her to be back home, and I said 11:00, well 10:45 she comes strolling in, with a huge smile...ahhh, I asked her,"Sis, doesn't it feel great to be treated like a young women?" her responce with a smile from ear to ear was,"It feels kind of strange" then today they have plans to go and do something today. Larry is sick, and I HATE it, lays around all wrapped up in a blanket, coughing and doing those other things men do when they're sick, I mean the world has come to a complete stop, the one thing I will not do is bring him food or anything to drink, get up off your behind and get your self, like when he was having heart problems that led to quad triple bypass at 38, I had no sympathy for him, but I didn't know...honestly, I thought,"O its all in your head" his Dad was 38 when he had his first massive heart attack, and his mom was 42 when she had her first heart attack, you'd think I'd learn something from the ordeal, I blame it on working in the hospital, you see so many fakers, do you know what he just ask me to do?? Cook him a southern style breakfast, gravy, biscuits, bacon, all that stuff that gives you what I call "Surge" in your artories, go figure....I love a bowl of fruit with cottage cheese instead, but I love the man. The song playing on my blog is one of the Catholics traditional it sounds so beautiful when sung in opera style, I cant understand it cause its all in Latin, but I love to hear it, I do know its a song about Mary. Need to go and get the cast iron skillet ready, not to hit Larry on the side of the head for( heehehe) but to make gravy in, I swear by cast iron skillets for that. Love to all.

I'm so happy to hear about Amanda's date. There ARE nice boys out there. Is John paying attention to all this? Other moms will be peeking out the windows at him sometime soon...ah, growing up...gotta love it. :)

*giggle* I so love to read your blog Annette. Glad Amanda's new friend is treating her like a lady. You know, I think now that she has seen and felt how it feels to be treated good she will be able to make better choices.

Hope all of you will have better days ahead and your husband will feel better too! Husbands are such babies when it comes to being sick.
