GOOD NEWS IS TO BE SAID.......
Amanda passed her driving test today, on the first try! Unlike her brother, who took him twice so she's all proud of herself,as well as I am! Finally, no more taxi service in this house, now if she can save her $$ up to get a car, that would be even better, we told her that we'd match what she's got saved as long as it doesn't go over an certain amount, 1 large hurdle over, and a few more to come! I have to be honest here....I seriously didn't think she would do it, pass that is, so for a victory we went out to lunch! Just wanted to share this tid bit of information to all of you!

Congrats to the newest driver in your household..... I did not learn to drive until I was 19 and living in England... NOW that was an experience! I will say an extra prayer for her safety and peace for you...
...and now your worries will begin. I didn't like it very much when my kids started driving and I still don't like it. Please tell Amanda to be very careful and call me if she ever needs to. One of Kristin's friends used to call me every time she got lost because she didn't want her parents to know she didn't know how to get around. Kind of funny now and I tease her about it, but the roads (and people) aren't like when we were driving. She'll save her money fast mom, be prepared!
Congrats on the loss of a job. I loved it when I no longer drove taxi! Liked your post on saving. Very good tips.
