" Guess what I saw ?"

I saw this gorgeous little birdie flying around in my back yard this morning looking for nectar! I do have a hummingbird feeder, but for some reason they don't drink from it, I'm thinking, they cant find the little holes, it was a very pretty one when I first bought it, but I'm going to go back to the old style one with the brightly colored red flower looking holes, maybe then they drink! I was absolutely thrilled when I saw him, I remember Joni's Mom & Dad having a feeder when I was younger, and I'd sit with her parents just for a little while and watch them, I was so amazed at how fast their wings flapped, I also think that once they had to hand feed a baby for some reason, the baby probably fell out of it's home, and my fat cat sits on the floor with her huge fluffy tail just swaying from left and right and every once in a while she'll move her hip's, like shes gonna prance, and she cant move that fast any more shes way too fat, seriously, I think the only fit person in this house is Johnanthon, and the only reason he's slim is because of his ADHD, his metabolism run fast, I'd give anything to have a 1/3 of his energy, he can eat anything and everything and not gain an once, I look at something, or lick the beaters from a cake a mix,( I know you all do that) and I gain. Seeing this little birdie tells me spring is here, but I got to thinking today, people use to say "May showers bring April flowers" I think we got our may showers a few months back. Sunday Larry and I took a ride to Napa Valley, I HAD to get away from everyone, we didn't talk the whole ride up there, I just needed some peace and quite, the Napa hills are breath taking, it was cloudy on the hills and looked real neat, we ate a real nice restaurant, you can tell the hooty tooty people there, the tables had linens, crystal, silver, they didn't serve tap water only bottle water! and I go in there wearing jeans, tennie shoes, and Larry had on shorts and tennie shoes, good news though, we where the only one's there for lunch, I love eating at those kind of places sometimes, where I can act like a real lady and be dressed looking like I'm not and fool all them, I can eat with the richest and eat with the poorest and know my manners, Momma made sure of that, Gilbert sometimes would take me and Momma to Fancy places, but I'm the most comfortable with good friends and good food in someones back yard at a BBQ eating ribs with my hands, and using paper napkins, I'm just a simple woman, after all I'm just Annette!!
