"Time"

Well Hello everyone.........No the dust bunnies aren't holding me hostage, it's just when the kids get on the computer, they get on for a very long time, Saturday afternoon Amanda's friend was having "Sweet 16" party and you get around people that you haven't seen for a long time and time just runs away, it was fun, the theme was back in the 1980's and to see all these kid's dressed was fun, but in all reality the fashion is coming back but not the hair style, they played music from back then and they had karaoke and the girl's mother and myself where the only one's singing, cause we knew the words, Amanda asked me if I could go back in time would I like to go back to the 80's? and if yea, would I do any thing different, of course I gave her the spell on paying better attention in school, and I wouldn't have dated this boy, but in all it was great, times where so much different then, now I realized what my Mom means when she says that. I have to go sometime today and order a butanear, and a corsage, I think I might do something an orchard for Amanda and Chris for the prom, that's right around the corner, I remember my first prom, it was so fun, my friends mom took us to San Fransisco to the Gunny Sack Factory to get our dresses, so many to chose from it was way cheaper to do it that way, ah to go back in time...some things I would change and some things I would defiantly leave the same, but this is the present and times goes on and this too will be the past, and my children's, children will ask them the same and I wonder what their answers will be to them, and what kind of stories will they tell them that I don't know about? Time will tell

ah, my kids always make fun of the 80's...I don't remember it being that big of a deal. But if I had it to do over again, I would make a few minor adjustments...I never went to any of my proms...and of course, now I wish I had...sweet days of youth and you are right, they will all be repeated and questions resurfaced by those who follow...one thing is for certain...I'm thankful the hairstyles aren't returning...oh my! Feathered hair....LOL...what were we thinking?

have a wonderful day sweet friend ~

a walk down memory lane! :) my kids love the 80's music!....and it is fun, like you said to sing along.....songs come on the radio, and i can so remember exactly where i was and what i was doing because of the memories it brings up......fun!
i never went to any of my proms either (raised in a church that did not believe in dancing)....however....oh boy do i remember buying oodles of prom dresses and boutonnieres for my girls and i STILL have those dresses in this house! :) my husband could never understand why the next year, the next girl couldn't
just wear her sister's old dress! :) glad you had a fun day, annette....hope you enjoy your day today,
