Tuesday Treasure
Had to work all week end and not a darn thing gets done around here when I work! Tuesday Treasure is already here and I don't know what to blog about, the only thing that comes to my mind is my wedding ring, the one I wear now, it belongs to my Mom, my Dad gave it to her when they got married, I lost the one my husband gave me at work, so I thought and I was so upset about it, I thought I lost in some gloves, any time we do any thing with patients we have to wear gloves, hospital policy, and after I was done doing patient care I was washing my hands and realized I didn't have my wedding ring, what a panic!! I was telling my mom about it after work that day and she said,"Do you want to wear the one Gilbert gave me?" and of course I did, how silly of her, it's a plain wide gold band, like me not fancy at all, I felt a connection when I put it on, I figured it bonded them together for 16 years, and I was bonded to him as well, after a week or so my ring showed up, and I just got this strange feeling when I found it, I said,"Gilbert, Thank you for helping me find my wedding band, but I am not giving this one you gave mom back" I still have my wedding band from my husband, but I wear the one my Dad gave my mom, mine from Larry is all out of shape kind of like our marriage use to be not a perfect circle, this one is so perfect, like the love they shared, it's smooth, and so shiny like his love for my Mom and I. Love to all on this gorgeous Tuesday......Love Annette

lovely story, annette....i am sure it is a treasure, knowing how you feel about gilbert! memories sure affect how we feel about certain "things" and the meaning behind them.
i lost my wedding band once....shortly after we were married. i was playing with it at a matinee (cuz i wasn't used to it) and it flipped off and rolled all the way down to the front of the theatre under all the movie seats.....and my dear husband ran down listening for it....and crawled in all that disgusting trash and found it! needless to say....i was in trouble :) i learned right then not to "play" with it! :)

oh no,....i wouldn't miss hunting Easter eggs!!!! i have kids who still like to do that....and 3 grandbabies old enough this year too! i better make sure the adult "kids" share! :)
