"Tuesday's Treasure"

Sorry I have no picture of my "Tuesday Treasure" but it's a class bell that John had bought me from one the "Santa Shop's" when he was in the 2 grade I believe, it's small with blue little flowers on it, and in the middle it Read's "Mom" he wrapped it up and it was one of the first thing's I had to open that Christmas morning, I carefully unwrapped all this paper that could have wrapped two gift's and he sat on the floor in complete silence watching every move I made, I pulled out this bell and was moved by the fact that he took time to think of me and carefully selected something so small and dainty he said,"Mom you can use this when your sick just ring it if you ever need anything and we can help you" I needed something at that moment a tissue, that bell sat out on a shelf or in my room for year's, So many time's I wanted to ring it to get God's attention when thing's where in an up roar!! When we moved this last time I put it my box of treasure's, but as I sit here writing about and the meaning it came from I think I should bring it back out, I remember that shop and many more complaing to the fact that he wanted money but he ALWAYS got us all something, never left anyone out not even the dog, who would of thought a probely $1.50 gift could have so much meaning? I love that bell and hope one day I can give it back to him so maybe one of his children can give it to their mom.

it's suppose to be "glass" not "class" bell

i remember "santa's shop" when my kids were little.

my mom collected bells. she would use them when her grandchildren were around to let them know dinner was ready, or let them ring the bell....they loved it! when she passed away, each of my five daughters chose a bell....as did i. like yours, mine is put away, but after today i think i will get it out and let MY grandchildren start using it to let others know dinner is served!

Isn't it funny how gifts from children go straight to our hearts? Your glass bell sounds like a priceless treasure that is reminiscent of that authentic innocence we long to hold on to in our children. Thank you for sharing!
