Tuesday Treasure (Late Entry)

My Tuesday Treasure is late due to working but it's about my daughter when she was little, she was in elementary school and had gotten into some trouble and had to come home from school, who knows for what, school's today if the student's don't sit right in their chair they call the parent cause the teacher thinks the child is being defiant, but anyways getting back, I picked her up and I had a few errands to do before taking her home, and it was a clear crisp day and as I was driving she asked "If we could just go to the mountains?", you could see them clearly in the distance, and I explained to her that it's not that easy to get there that they are further away then they looked, she said,"No they're not, just go straight and we'll be there" I wanted to prove to her that they weren't right there like her little eyes saw them, I remember thinking"O if only everyone could see thing's through a child's eyes" the innocence is just amazing, they see no wrong in anyone and everything is colorful, there is no black and white. I asked her,"Why don't we just go home and sit in the front yard and look at the mountains and talk about what kind of life is going on" her response with those deep brown eyes looking at me" Dad is going to mad at me for getting in trouble" she was more worried about that then anything. I told her, like I still do,"I'll take care of him, don't worry about it" We (adults) are like children, we'd like to run from our problem's at time's instead of giving them to our farther, when I'm the passenger in the car I too look at those mountains like Amanda did that same day. Children don't see distance, time, or fault with anyone or anything, we need to think with a child like mind at time's.
