I'm home

Hello all made it there and back safely, weather was great going up, but coming home got some of this storm, my dad is doing so much better, memory is slowly coming back, he remembered me but would forget my name, I sometime forget my own name. The procedure on Monday showed no more bleeds or Anuyersm so there was no need to go ahead and open the skull up, they are marveled at his progress, and we owe all this to prayer!! I did witness one of his many temper rages, which wasn't a pretty sight, and of course I cried and he in the middle of it all looked and me said,"you cry too much" I stuck my tongue at him and he saw me in the mirror and told me not to do that to him anymore, this was while in he was in the state of confusion. It was nice to see my sister and my brother, these 2 are from my step mother's first marriage but my dad has raised them since they were toddler's so they are his in all of our eye's, we don't believe in step and half stuff. All the way to Phoenix I prayed to God that my dad would remember me and when I walked in the first thing he asked was, "How did you get here" I did my hand's like driving, progress for my dad is going to be a long road to recovery he has had a stroke and it effected his memory to some point but hopefully with time it will come back and with rehab, when I was talking about my John, he thought it was about his John that has been died for about 22 year's, he was 12 when he was killed, so we had to go through that song and dance and that opened a whole new can of worm's so to speak, now this morning when I called he was doing great, asked about the trip home, how long did it take us and etc. Told him that we stopped and seen my Aunt and Uncle in Palm Springs and that bought us dinner and he said "They did, last time momma and I were there they had us pay for theirs" and that's been sometime back so his memory comes and goes. I prayed so much the whole time I was there and God answered our prayer's, there was a time all of us were sitting in Daddy's hospital room and my sister said,"Can any of you feel the calmness?" and you literally felt God's presence it was an awesome feeling, so THANK YOU goes to all of you for your prayer's, you will be blessed back I believe that. I am so glad I made that trip for my own self, the night my dad played with my ear lobes I knew my dad was coming back, he's got a thing for ear lobes always have, it's like a security for him, he's such a big man and acted so terrible, but deep down he's a great big hugable teddy bear, we kept telling the nurses this, I don't think they believed us at that time. Again, I want "THANK ALL OF YOU who prayed for our trip and for dad. God bless my blog family!!!!!
